Kent's Tai Chi Center

Sifu Kent Mark

Sifu Mark was born in China in the 1920s. At that time, young boys generally spent their time learning Kung Fu. Sifu Mark chose to learn Shaolin Kung Fu and continued learning it for some 30 years. In those days, because so many men spent their time learning Kung Fu, violence was fairly common. Over the years he grew sick of the fighting due to "hard" Kung Fu and at the age of 20 he began to learn the "soft" Kung Fu style, Tai Chi Chuan, from his uncle Mak Ying Po. Shortly after Sifu moved to Canada in 1956 he began teaching Tai Chi. He has continued teaching Tai Chi for over 40 years.

Lineage

Below is a diagram of Sifu's lineage, starting from the originator of Yang style, Yang Lu Chan, and ending with Sifu Mark's senior students.
